The Hall Law Office, PLLC specializes in assisting small and seasonal businesses solve legal problems related to the H-2A and H-2B visa programs, in defending employers facing audits and investigations by the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, in representing employers in administrative proceedings before DOL, and providing management-side labor and employment law advice.  It is based in Washington, D.C. in order to be close to the Department of Labor.  Wendel Hall is its principal attorney. Wendel’s work at the Hall Law Office continues his work for employers and fling agents at his previous law firm, CJ Lake.

Wendel has been practicing law for about 24 years.  Over time, Wendel has come to believe that “a stitch in time saves nine.”  Wendel believes that it is better to solve a problem before it ever arises and spends a great deal of his time in helping employers and filing agents find practical solutions to their problems.  Wendel spends much of his time speaking at seminars or conferences of employers and agents teaching them how to do it right the first time.

Not all problems can be solved by timely, practical advice.  Sometimes the Department of Labor takes unfair or inappropriate enforcement action.  Sometimes employers are sued by third parties looking to support a “cause.”  Sometimes, employers or filing agents can find themselves in trouble through no fault of their own.  Wendel’s experience allows him to defuse or, if necessary, defend  employers or filing agents in litigation with DOL and others who represent workers.  While results are never guaranteed, there are very few people with a track record like Wendel’s.

When he is not working, Wendel lives in Derwood, MD with his wife, Arleen, and their four children.  He enjoys relaxing with his family and trying to keep up with his three teenagers.  Wendel volunteers in his community and at his church.  There is never a dull moment.

Welcome to the Hall Law Office.  We look forward to being of assistance.
