H-2B Employer Capitol Hill Fly-In
When: March 14, 2017 at 7:30 a.m.
Where: U.S. Capitol Building, H-137
Congress holds the fate of the H-2B Program in its hands.
“Right now, H-2B is under attack from all sides and employers are being treated unfairly,” said Patrick Wilson, government relations/account manager with PES.
You need to participate!
Join forces with the coalition of H-2B advocates and employers flying in to Capitol Hill next week to shed light on key issues in the H-2B Program. Participants will be briefed and break into smaller groups to attend meetings with officials.
Let your voice be heard.
Take this opportunity to tell YOUR Congressional Representatives what issues YOU face in the H-2B Program. Do you risk being caught in the cap this year?
Ø Cap reached for first half of FY2017 (on 1/10/17)
Ø Cap reaching max for second half of FY2017 (last count 3/10/17)
Ø “Returning Worker” exemption not yet reauthorized
“Even if you are not at risk, this Fly-In will be the most influential way to get your point across and will be the only hope of receiving your workers for 2017,” said Patrick Wilson.
This event is for everyone. RSVP by emailing Patrick Wilson (PES) at email@example.com. Be there or be square.
